M. Talbot is the former keyboard player for the Style Council, he played with them for over 6 years until they split. Prior to joining them he was with Dexys Midnight Runners. In my opinion he moved on to much better things as P. Wellers's work easiley outclasses Dexys.
The idea of this blog is build a profile of his work with P. Weller and in doing so I will list all the tracks which talbot played with Weller whilst they were in the Style Council. A very simple piece of keyboard playing yet with such emotion is illustrated by talbot in the song headstart for happiness, when I saw the video above that was the first time I'd seen or heard of Talbot. At that time Weller was saying rubbish like he is the greatest soul keyboard player in the world or the UK I cant remember his exact words but it was something to that effect.
The songs which he recorded with the style council are listed below. What talbot does today I've no idea:) None the less he was a valued part in the style council and his touches contributed to their distinctive sound.
